When some gangsters led by a ruthless American property developer force a school to sell their land, Ip Man fights to protect it. Subsequently, Ip Man is challenged by another Wing Chun master Zhang Tian Zhi for the Grandmaster title. Ip Man accepts the challenge for the sake of his family and disciples, and wins the duel for the title.
